The power of youth coupled with the power of social media fueled Southeastern Brokerage Group’s 2018 summer service project. Our very own Kaitlyn McCarthy, CLTC (left) is pictured with Marium D a local Charlotte high school student. Kaitlyn met Marium after reading about her quest to put together toiletry bags for the less fortunate on her neighborhood social media site. We learned that government assistance programs such as the “Food Stamp Program” often do not cover basic toiletry items such as soap, shampoo, tooth paste, tooth brushes, etc. It was our distinct pleasure to meet Marium and help her to meet her goal by putting together several toiletry bags. In the process we were also able to help her provide several basic items for others that you and I take for granite everyday. It was also very heart warming to meet a young person who had her sites on giving back to her community and to those who are less fortunate. Great job Marium!! #AlwaysGiveBack
